Lions Earn their Rank

Today the lions completed their 5th and final requirement to earn their lion rank with a safety hike. They practiced looking out for snakes, learnt what to do if lost and learnt three leaves, let it be. Afterwards, we celebrated our amazing year with pizza and amazing lion cupcakes! Thank you to all of the parent volunteers for an amazing year for the lions!

Sssssnake Pack Meeting

A huge thank you to Snakeout aka Jake the Snake guy for coming to our Snake Pack meeting tonight. The Scouts learned about snake safety, what to do if they get bit, and even got to pet Jake’s pet snake, Pinkie. We’re ready to stay safe on the trails now! Thank you Jake!

Mountain Day Adventure - RSVP

As we plan for our upcoming Mountain Adventure Day in May, please take a moment to RSVP using the link below to let us know if your family will be participating or not. We are requesting a RSVP within the next 2 weeks from every family in the Pack (regardless if you are going). Please note, a limited number of RV spots are available and will be awarded based on the order in which RSVPs are received. Looking forward to fun with everyone in the great outdoors!

Camp Lassen Registration due by March 17th

It’s time for the Pack to reserve our Summer Camp 2022 campsite at Camp Lassen for July 10-13.

We now need to take RSVPs for those scouts and their parent/guardian(s) who will be attending Camp Lassen with Pack 454. Please fill out this form to reserve your place with Pack 454. We will be registering the Pack this week and your payment by check will be due to the Pack 454 by March 17th. We will be in contact with you for payment.

The price is $250 for each scout and $250 for each adult.

• Each Tiger scout must be accompanied by one parent/guardian. 
• Wolf and Bear Scouts may attend camp with someone other than their parent if that adult is willing to accept responsibility for that camper. Each adult may only accept responsibility for no more than 1 Cub Scout that is not a family member
• Webelos can attend camp with 2-deep leadership, in a 1 adult to 5 scout ratio.

Camp Lassen is a summer camp 45 minutes northeast of Chico, CA operated by the BSA Golden Empire Council.  Cub Scouts spend 4 days and 3 nights with the program divided into 12 sessions, rotating between campcraft, nature, handicraft, aquatics, fitness, archery, BB gun shooting, showmanship, and free time. Cubs will have a chance to work on the Cub Scout Outdoor Activity award electives and some STEM activities. There will be MANY different and fun activities for our Scouts to participate in.
